I'm Michelle, I'm a teacher. I enjoy learning and I enjoy getting other people to like learning.
I used to be really overweight, I always just felt like a failure because I was always trying to lose weight and failing. It always held me back and everything else in my life as well, so I never succeeded in other areas that I wanted to succeed in.
Because of the weight, I just felt like the outside didn't match what was on the inside. There's a nice succession of steps. It's always two steps forward, three steps back but, it's the ability to just keep on going that makes things work.
I already made the decision before I even started to lose weight that I was going to get plastic surgery eventually. I feel like it was the final step.
I was really intimidated the first time I went in there because it's a plastic surgeon's office, but they were all really supportive and they made me feel really comfortable. I could not have asked for better, it was amazing.
You have to be able to push through the setbacks to get where you want to be because setbacks are going to happen no matter what. You're never gonna live a perfect life that's full of motivation, happiness, and sunshine. You have to be able to push through the dark moments. Decide you want to do something and do it.
It's just being able to wear short sleeve tops, it seems like the tiniest thing for someone else but for me, it's massive. I just feel like a normal person I guess.
I just felt comfortable in my body whereas before I felt like my body was dragging me down. Now I feel like I'm just living.
